The Game Changers Championship returns from October 22 to November 1, bringing ten teams to São Paulo, Brazil, for its final standalone edition. The tournament will crown a world champion at Riot Games Arena São Paulo, with Team Liquid Visa defending the title it won in Seoul last year. The event details come from the official championship announcement.
The organizer describes the tournament as one more world title to crown before Game Changers takes its next big step. It calls this the final standalone championship, while the announcement focuses on the 2026 event and does not detail what that next step will involve.
Team Liquid Visa will compete on home ground, while Shopify Rebellion Gold returns after coming close to the title last year. Their rematch is one possible storyline, but the field includes eight other teams that qualified through regional competition. The format gives challengers a path through a double-elimination bracket.
The ten teams represent North America, EMEA, China, Pacific, Brazil and Latin America. Each secured a place through regional competition, carrying the hopes of its fans onto the international stage, according to the announcement. Alongside Team Liquid Visa and Shopify Rebellion Gold, the qualified field includes G2 Gozen, Gentle Mates GC, SK Nebula, KRÜ Blaze, Gen.G GC, FENNEL GC, MiBR and Nova Esports GC.
Initial rounds use best-of-three matches. The Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final are best-of-five series, giving those matches a longer format. Teams from the same regional qualifiers will start on opposite sides of the bracket, a placement rule intended to create a variety of international matchups.
The draw leaves open whether familiar rivals will meet again or another contender will take the title. Game Tech Daily has also covered another VALORANT esports result and the broader esports calendar, where international competition is expanding across several events.
Fans can attend the Game Changers Fan Fest from October 30 to November 1 at Community Creators Academy. Its announced activities include live Watch Parties, PC Bang, Artists Alley, creator appearances and exclusive event activations.
Fan Fest tickets do not include admission to the championship arena. Championship merchandise will be available exclusively in São Paulo, while all matches will be shown through official VALORANT Esports broadcasts and participating co-streamers. The announcement does not name the three exclusive in-game rewards, but says viewers must connect a Riot Account to Twitch or Kick before watching to qualify for eligible Drops.
Viewers can also make tournament predictions through Pick’Ems, powered by AWS, at valorantesports.com/pickems. The event preview says fans without access to a PC can make predictions there as well. For readers following game releases beyond esports, Game Tech Daily’s games coverage has also tracked new features in Grand Theft Auto 6.
The championship’s final standalone edition will conclude on November 1. Fans can follow @valorantesports on X, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook for match results, event announcements and behind-the-scenes content as the São Paulo tournament approaches.
